Bernice Depot Museum

In early January 2025, I was in Bernice, Louisiana, creating images for the article: Bernice’s Historic Town Jail: Union Parish Louisiana Law Enforcement History. I had noticed the Bernice Depot Museum, not 2 blocks from where I was documenting the old jail.

I have been around Bernice for a portion of my (young adult) life while living in nearby Dubach, and I’d never paid much attention to it. Having learned more about it from a registered historical marker website, I made a point to return one day and document it as well.

The sun was bright and harsh on the morning I photographed the old depot, but I am pleased with how these color images turned out. I hope you like them!
