Mt.Vernon Missionary Baptist Church – A Creepy Black and White Feel

In late December 2024, I photographed the abandoned Mt. Vernon Church on US Highway 167, just north of Dubach, Louisiana.

The old, creepy church sat on the western side of the highway. Unfortunately, at the time of this publication, the church has since been torn down, and most of the land has been developed.

Luckily, I created several color and black and white images of it, and in this article, I am sharing some of my favorite ones. These have a black and white street film edit (through Lightroom mobile presets) applied to them, and I am quite pleased with how they turned out.

I hope you like them!
