I notice a pattern when I’m hanging around the house, photographing things. Some of my favorite things to look for are small flowers and mushrooms.
I also enjoy capturing natural light, shadow, and textures in black and white on bright, super contrasty days.
But the one constant is that one of our female cats, Blue, is always close by. Many times while I’m focusing, she will rub against my leg (mostly scaring me lol).
And other times, she is rubbing up against the very subject I’m framing, usually the stalk of a flower.
Whenever I see a good composition of her, I’m going to always take it. It’s like then she knows it, and will grant me a few good poses.
Then, she’s off to do her thing.
That’s my country cat sidekick…
