I have photographed this old country church before, but I was never really happy with the results. While driving nearby backroads today, I decided to try again. I’m not sure if it is active or when the last services were (they weren’t having any on this particular Sunday morning while I was there).
It may well be abandoned, but it is still in good shape, so all the better reason to document it while it still stands.
Cartwright Baptist Church in Jackson Parish, Louisiana, USA.
These are straight out of the camera JPEGs with no editing.
I used 2 different cameras to create these photographs:📷 Canon Rebel T6s | Sigma EX 17-50mm f/2.8 OS HSM DC lens 📷 Canon EOS RP | Canon EF-EOS R Adapter | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens.
