The general theme for this documentary project is to photograph areas and subjects of interest along US state-named streets that correlate to the state. This could be directly or indirectly.
Be sure and read the opening article in this series, The States of Ruston – Carolina Ave, to learn more.
I know what comes to mind for me when I think of Louisiana, having been born and raised here my whole life. While I didn’t find swamps, Cypress trees, or Cajun-themed signs along Ruston’s very own Louisiana Avenue, these are the images that spoke most to me.
📷 All images were created with a Canon EOS RP and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. I used Canon’s DPP4 software to edit the RAW files, making light exposure and tone adjustments before exporting to JPEG.
