Super-bright light makes for great black and white photos.
Often, I look for shadows, light, and texture around or on plants and other elements of nature to capture contrasty monochrome images.
In my opinion, this is one of the major benefits of using mirrorless cameras. While I do enjoy and quite often photograph with a DSLR, seeing the shadow and light directly in the viewfinder helps me nail down the shot I want.
My absolute favorite setup for this type of work is a Nikon Z50 with an FTZ-adapted Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lens. I love the rendering of the old(er) Nikon F-mount lenses, especially in black and white.
