Summer Country Evening

Summers in Louisiana can be brutally hot. I have lived (and worked) here all of my life, so the dog days of June, July, and August are nothing new to me.

Most times, if you want to do anything, the evening is the best time to do it (although you are still going to sweat). Luckily, just a short hike up the road from where I live is an open expanse of pasture that offers some awesome evening scenery.

With the setting sun and long shadows, I often like to capture these types of landscapes in black and white. If you like that kind of photography too, you may be interested in these similar high-resolution image downloads from my Kofi page.

Since I photograph all of my images in raw, I created some color copies of this fresh-cut and baled hay field.

I hope you like them!
