There is something magical to me about riding backroads and discovering old structures that time seems to have forgotten.
Each time I find an old abandoned barn, shed, house, or other dwelling, I always wonder about its history. Whose was it?
How much it meant to them and/or their family. And what happened to it?
While I may never know the answers to those questions, I think it is important to document them with my camera. As time goes on, more and more of these types of old buildings are disappearing from our landscapes.
Before long, they will truly remain only as a memory.
I used a Canon EOS RP and an adapted Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. The RAW files were developed with Canon DPP4 software, and the exported JPEGs were edited with the Snapseed mobile app.
