Brick Mural Textures and Colors
Bricks with paintings or other colors accentuate the already-present texture. I like capturing new and old murals in color and black and white. Here are a few images of murals in my (small) hometown of Ruston, Louisiana. I appreciate you reading Louisiana Wandering. Please share the content with others to help support my work!

No Lifeguards
I remember growing up in Ruston in the 80s when the Ruston City pool was always there and people swam in it during the open season. I don’t really remember swimming in it myself but I am sure I did at some point. We swam at the Cedar Creek pool and of course in ponds
Longstanding
I have passed by this old derelict barn so many times that I decided I better take a picture of it before some strong winds come and level it out. I can only imagine what it looked like in its heyday. I appreciate you reading Louisiana Wandering. Please share the content with others to help support my
Mural Textures In Small-town Bernice Louisiana
Bernice has two interesting murals in town that appear to have been there for quite some time. I stopped one day a few months back and grabbed a color and black and white of each. I really dig the textures on the old concrete wall they are painted on. I appreciate you reading Louisiana Wandering. Please share

Gentle Decline
I stopped the other day to try and get some decent shots of tulips, but I think I am too late. Despite my wife telling me they have been there for a couple of weeks now, I think they have started to wilt. I captured this one with some wilting petals and named it, “Gentle
Timeless Classic: BelAir In Black-and-white
Recently, I visited an old homestead that had a 1956 model Belair underneath the shed, just begging to be photographed. Of course, the abandoned house is cool but I think I gravitated towards the car even more. Black-and-white photography is my favorite and what better subject than some classic chrome and metal. I hope you

Above The Tracks
I captured these breathtaking black-and-whites in my hometown of Ruston, Louisiana from the railroad track bridge on Bonner Street. I shot them one at a time, panning from left to right. The old downtown area is so neat to me and a lot of these buildings are decades (maybe a century or more now) old.
